How to Get What You Want FASTER

People usually have goals in their life and I think it’s great to have goals and strive to better yourself and have a fuller life and all that is really great, including trying to lose weight and have a healthier body, but really when people want something, what they really want is a FEELING, they’re looking for a particular feeling, that they want to feel, that they …don’t.feel.now… So say with weight or being healthy, maybe you just feel heavy, you just don’t feel successful or like a failure in this area and you don’t feel happy…you know? And you think when I get the body I want, when I get that ideal weight I’m looking for, when I get the car, the job, the guy…anything that you say you want…what we’re really looking for is a feeling…. So say with weight, what is the feeling that you are going to feel when you have that ideal body, is it going to be light? happy? at peace? strong? What is that feeling that you think you’re going to have when you have that ideal weight you’ve been striving for? And really try to get into that feeling, write it down, embody it….and then think how can you give yourself that feeling NOW while you are taking physical action to attain your ideal weight. How can you give yourself that feeling now? What are some things you can do to give yourself that feeling now? Being able to do this is going to help you lose the weight that much easier or reach that goal that much easier because you’re not going to be so attached to getting that feeling and getting that goal and have all this “pressure” around it – because you’re already able to give yourself that feeling just through your own mind and your own heart and it’s going to make getting your goal that much easier and that much more FUN.

What Is Keeping You From Keeping The Weight Off?

Maybe you have a goal of losing weight and you’ve done it before, you lost 20, 30 lbs or more and you felt great, you kept it off for a while, but then it creeps back up and now you’re back to where you started from, maybe even more and you lose the weight again, and it goes back up, lose the weight again and it goes back up…and you’re probably really frustrated. I know with anything in life, any goal in life, when you try and try and try but you just don’t get anywhere, it can be really frustrating. One thing to get out of this yo-yo effect is to ask yourself, “what would be the downside to actually having the goal that I say I want?” So say it’s to lose 30 pounds and be, for example, a size 6 or 8…what would be the downside to having that? Maybe some downsides could be that if I lose the weight, then I can’t hide anymore, I have to go out and start that business or I put a profile online to date or I can’t use my weight anymore as an excuse to do or not do whatever, fill-in-the-blank. So sometimes we think we want something consciously but there are hidden fears that are keeping us ‘comfortable’ where we are and uncovering those fears will help you reach your goal that much easier and stay at that goal. And if you really want to see what this is all about, see if you can sit with any of these uncovered fears…feel that fear and see what’s really there, it might surprise you.
